 How do I keep my dog happy and busy while away?
Deuce is my 16mo.old jack/rat terrier. I work 40 hours/week and he gets penned in the kichen every day while I'm gone. I've tried a couple of times to give him free roam of the house but he starts howling the minute I leave without crating him or penning him up in the kitchen. I feel bad that he has to stay at home alone while my roomate and I are working. He loves plush toys but has a problem chewing them to bits in a matter of minutes if I'm not watching. I used to give him lots of rawhides to keep him busy but I always have to take them away when they're almost gone or else he'll choke on them. Also, I tried giving him a Kong but he cleans it out and loses intrest quicky. Any Ideas?
