Two weeks ago I rescued a 6 month old Cocker Spaniel that was badly mistreated. I have VERY little history on him, I have come to gather he must have been beaten by a male as he is scared of my husband and sons. I have gained his trust, somewhat. Does anyone have any suggestions or training techniques we could use with him?

Thanks Helly for the great advice. We have been doing some of those exercises, I myself see his great personality when I am with him one on one; however we feel it will be a very long time before he shows that around the males in the house.
