Hi. I am new to this site and it looks really informative so hopefully someone out there will be able to answer my question. My family and I are from Pennsylvania and I am in the process of researching breeders for selecting a Golden Retriever puppy as a new addition to our home. We already own a mixed breed Cocker Spaniel who is gentle and receptive to other dogs. My question concerns the two different breeders, whose names were given to me by our Vet. The first breeder is charging $1,060 for her puppies and the other one is charging $1500 for hers. They both have wesites and both have champion lines; AKC registration. The only two differences are that one shows her dogs and belongs to the Golden Retriever club of America. The other one does not, but does have all the necessary certifications for these dogs. I don't know which one to choose. I was told by some people that a higher price doesn't mean a better dog. Who should I go with?
