Hi there everyone!

My name is Jo. Our family consists of three humans and three pups who will soon have a big change in lifestyle. I have lurked here for a while, but like so many, I now have a question...so I'm popping my head up and waving!

Our dogs are a 3 pound Chihuahua, Milo, who is almost two years old. A four year old Doxie, named Merlin, and the world's prettiest mix of basset and terrier who goes by Jake. He's almost three years old now.

My husband has recently received an opportunity to travel with his job so we get to spend several months at a time in different areas of the country! We're very excited, but we do have a concern that maybe some of you could offer some advice about! While our Chihuahua has been an indoor god his whole life, our other two spend most of their time outdoors. It just sort of worked out that way! Well, now, we'll be renting out the house and moving into apartments while we travel .... and there's the rub! I'm worried about how my babies are going to adjust to apartment living after having free roam of the yard for so long. It's not a permanent thing, but it might be a couple of years, so for our doggies it might as well be permanent!

Do any of you have advice on the transitioning? Or perhaps know of another website that might offer tips?
