new...and have a question
Hi everyone!!! I just found this place and I would like to know if anyone has had the experience of breeding a dog with his mother. I´ve read about inbreeding, but the experience must be different. They are both pure breed, good hips (german shepherd).... and adults.
Is that so bad?????? PLEASE?????
Thanks!!!!!!!!

It is wrong
Yep i am afraid it is. You do not breed any dog with it's mother. That is inbreeding and that is why some breeds are having a lot of problems. Sorry but you did ask.---Aggy

Welcome Bamboo.
I would like answer your question if I may, i have to risk sounding harsh, I am not judging you as a person but I do need to say that if you are asking a question like this, you have no business considering starting any sort of breeding programme.
It is fantastic that your animals may be good sound examples of the breed, but it takes alot more than that to produce sound, quality pups. Breeding pure breeds is NOT a quick money maker and should never be veiwed in this light. If you wish to begin breeding much more research needs to be done, you need to know that if you want to establish a good reputation as a breeder and breed because you wish to maintain or better a high standard in your breed of choice, that this will have very little monetrey reward.
My reccomendation to you is to have your current animals neutered and spayed to avoid any accident......enjoy what you have for the time being as loving companions of your home. Spend years of research (not just on the internet, there is often misguided info to be found) but through already well reputed breeders and kennel associations. Establish yourself a strong support and refferal network, and once this is soundly established and you are fully prepared.........then consider breeding.
I do not want to cause animosity i me saying this, please dont interperet this post as any sort of attack, I am just giving you hopefully some food for thought.
With BSL running so rampid through many countries and the GSD being one of the breeds that are on the hit list in many instances, do you really want to risk the breed you so love and adore, by sending more out there, to just anyone because you were not equipped or prepared to filter families, and send out exceptionally sound animals that represent the breed in only good light?

thanks
I would like to thank for the time spent in your answers. My idea has never been breeding. I have a mother and child, and am afraid they could have mated once when they broke down a gate and nobody was home at the time.
I will absolutely take care of the situation in case something did happen. I love them too much to do something wrong with them or to them.
Thanks a lot for the frank answer. In fact, some people told me there was no problem...bla bla, that´s why I wanted some more experience.
I´ll let you know what happened. THANKS AGAIN
