Default Hi, I'm new and I have a concern

I bought a dog at the humane society yesterday. He's a chocalate poodle and so sweet. The problem is, is that he's not eating. They told me they had him for about 2 weeks, and their vet said he was depressed and he needed a home quick. Is there anything or any special food to get him to help him through this? I am calling my vet on Monday to get him a checkup but for the weekend I would appreciate any advice anyone has. Thanks

Hi welcome to the forum. What are you trying to feed him with? Is it the same as what they were giving him or something else. Remember it is all new to him and he should eat when he is hungry. See how he goes till Monday It will not do him any damage if he don't eat betwen now and then. Hopefully he will start eating before.Well done for gettting a rescue dog and let me know how you get on. Good luck.---Aggy.
