Well, I guess I should introduce myself. My husband and I just lost our sweet baby Ethel Mae a few weeks ago and decided to adopt a special needs dog that might not otherwise get adopted. His name is Munch. He's a 1 1/2 year old king charles cavalier and he gets along pretty well with our 10 Year old Great Pyranees, Lucy. I am hoping someone can suggest a few techniques we might try with Munch's tendency to be protective aggressive with me. He can be so sweet and loving but he also growls and barks whenever someone comes near me. I feel like I have my hands full right now with helping Munch to adjust to our home and helping Lucy with the loss of her sister and to accept Munch. Any suggestions?
