Hi All:

I just adopted a 7 yr. old buff Cocker Spaniel named Sammy. He has a great dispostion. His original owner moved and couldn't take him. My neighbor approached me since he knew I had previously owned a Cocker Spaniel and had it put to sleep two years ago. Needless to say we had a trial period with the dog and my wife and daughter fell in love with him.

I will be looking for insights on keeping this guy healthy and happy while avoiding some of the issues I had with my previous dog which was constant ear infections, allergies and eye issues.

It's funny because as a hobby I began to make dog lawn ornaments one of which is aCocker which is what prompted my neighbor to offer the dog.

Sammy and your family are so lucky to have each other now, congrats on you new dog to love and care with. I've learned a lot in this forum and my Wishbone is so happy and healthy.
