I guess by now you've found out that they need TONS of exercise? lol
& if you didn't like hair in your coffee - you've made a terrible mistake.
they are escape artists - extrordinair', the class clown & killers of small animals all rolled into one
you've got a beautiful property there & the dog is good looking too. where did you get him?

he loves going on walks thats for sure...we have 2 acres that someday we will have him trained to stay on...hopefully...
not a coffe fan so no worries there
but yeah, we have learned to deal with the hair...it gets everywhere!!
the dog came form a co-worker that couldnt take care of him...he is single and works alot so the dog stayed in a kennel alot...he got him from a pet store in erie PA...they got him from breeders in SD.... he is AKC cerified...

he will be needing more than walks, he will need jogs. a lot of people run them while riding a bike altho I don't know if that is possible where you are & really shouldn't be done until he is finished growing.
aside from the normal shedding - they "blow coat" twice a year. you can usually make another dog out of it.
just so you know, he is "registered" with AKC. that is simply a registry, it doesn't certify anything. doesn't guarantee health or temperment, he came from a puppy mill because he came from a pet store.
I know you want to breed him but honestly, mill dogs should not be bred & neutering him goes a long way towards preventing cancer & reducing the desire to run off
he is gorgeous tho & lucky to have found you

absolutely no offense taken. I love it when people ask questions. I spent 15 yrs in sheltering/ACO law enforcement & as such have participated in several cruelty confiscations of puppy mills & arrested several owners. I have also taken numerous related seminars sponsored by HSUS, AHA & the ASPCA. not bragging but you asked! lol
I was also a tech at an emergency clinic for 3 years
no I never had a husky. there are many things that are the same no matter what the breed is. never bred either
a "mill" dog is from a puppy mill. I'll post links so you can see what they are.
NoPuppyMills Forums
Puppymills - Information about puppy mills and how to shut them down.
we are slaughtering roughly 8 million pets a year in shelters. about 25% at least are pure bred. that is why it is just wrong to breed dogs just to breed. responsible breeders only breed to improve the breed or their particular line.

you are most welcome.
please let us know what you find out. keep in mind that you have taken him out of a bad situation & are giving him "the good life". that should be very rewarding
