Question Protective Dogs!

As much as I want my dogs to protect me and be my best friend, they can be very annoying to. I can forget about having guest over. Anytime someone shows up in the driveway and gets out of the car, my dogs are over there in a second, pinning them up against the car. My guest don't stand a chance of getting back in their car or taking a step back, without me calling them off. I never trained them to be this way. I yell at them when they behave this way but it doesn't seem to get me anywheres. Even my husband has a hard time getting near me. They have kept him from entering the house if I'm upstairs or in the shower. He has to wait outside for me to let him in. Even then, they block us from each other. It doesn't matter what I do or where I go, noone can be within 5 feet of me without my dogs showing off their BIG CHOPPERS! They stand in front of me with their weight sitting on my feet and growl at the person in front of me. Even walking them at the park is a difficult task. THEY OWN ALL AND EVERY PARK. They start stalking other dogs and intimidate their owners. I'm embarrassed by this behavior and my husband is getting fed up. I refuse to get rid of them but know I have to some how get this aggressive, protective behavior to stop. We have another dog we have to keep separate from these two. That one is a doll baby. Loves everyone! What went wrong with these two?

What kind of breeds do you have? Little more socializing them with humans can somewhat help. Obedience and behavior training will help a lot too. Hope you can find better solutions, good luck and welcome.
