Hello!
I have five adorable Pekingese girls.
One of them, Duchess, has been acting differently during the last three days. This is was she has been doing :
* When I am not in sight she starts barking nonstopping until she sees me.
* She wants to sleep with me and gets so close to my chest waking up now and then and licking my hands and face (very unussual of her), smells me and then goes back to sleep.
* She goes around the house and tries to dig in the cornes, gets under the dresser and hides. Then comes out or I get her out sometimes.
* she is loosing weight.
*She is not eatting her usual food, which used to love, and wants to eat only cooked meat.
* When I feed her regular food, she acts hungry, like she wants to eat it, but keeps on rubbing her nose on the floor, going around the bowl and wines. She doesn't eat the food.

* she drinks water normaly.
* She seems very alert. Her tale is up, and normal temperature.

I am concerned. Please help!

obviously a trip to the vet is in order. her sight may be dimishing & some dementia may be setting in or there could be some other nurological problem

What age is she? Sounds like she is displaying symtoms of pregnancy, could that be possible?

Yeah, vet could take a more closer look of her advice more accurately, that's really an unusual actions and alarming for her to loose weight. Hope you figure out her problem and get her well soon.

I will take her to the vet this week. She is not pregnant and we are considering spaying her soon.

how old is she? I think it's due to old age... but a vet can take a closer look of her and give you advice what to do...
