Default dog that gets along with bunny?

Hi everyone, I am a new member and have a question. I have a mini lop bunny who has free range of the house when not in his cage. My husband and I really want to get a large dog but we are not sure which breed is safe around small animals. Does anyone have any advice for us?

my english mastiff is best friends with my raccoon, they play together on a regular basis!
I think as long as you get the dog when he is a young puppy, they learn to accept each other as part of the family.

i think in most cases dogs can get along with cats and rodents if introduced properly.
my 2 gunea pigs are always took out to be socalised with 2 rotties and a jack russell,
i was more wary of the j/r because he is a terrier and has natural ratting instincts.
the dogs quickly become bored and dont bother the gunea pigs much, although super vision is something im careful with.
i know that rabbits can be bossy and have seen them making dogs run for cover in fear of being nipped.

I had 2 GSD's and 1 GSD/Wolf hybrid. All 3 learned to live with my pet rabbit. My female GSD would even play with it. It was so funny to watch them run around chasing eachother. My hybrid only tolerated the rabbit because I told him to "leave it". He would usually get up and leave the room when the rabbit came in. As he walked out he would give me "I'm only doing this coz I love you" look. [/I] Poor baby. I know the sight of the rabbit running around drove him crazy.
None of them every hurt that rabbit. They were the best trained dogs I ever had.

Why not visit a shelter/rescue house and get an adult dog, I'm sure they have enough knowledge and advise for a dog that will fit for you. Personally I think you should work with introducing with each other, better let the new dog sniff some of your rabbit's stuff before letting them see each other.
