Default Anyone know about linebreeding?

I'm new to the forum. Have bred golden retrievers before, but it's been ten years. We have three great goldens and want to know how related is too related to breed. No genetic defects, great characteristics, coats, temperaments, etc. Our aging female (14+) is the mother of our breeding male and the grandmother (via a different sire) of our breeding female. So they share a common ancestor, but not too related. Any advice welcome.

line breeding is usually grandparent to grandchild one litter. This is not that uncommon and is still recognized by the major kennel clubs and registries.
Inbreeding sister to brother etc is also recognized but most generally stay away as to closely linked.

Sorry, I don't have much knowledge about linebreeding. But I read from some experts says "It isn't enough to just base your decision on what people might say about the dogs; on the contrary, you must overly investigate and verify the quality of each and every member in the genealogical tree."

- Line breeding consists in crossing the female with a male from the same family, having in common fourth or fifth generation ancestors. This is a very asserted and intelligent breeding policy, as long as you perfectly know all the males and females that compose the genealogical tree of each one of the progenitors of the future litter.
