We just picked up our puppy on Saturday and on Monday realized he has roundworms. He has been de-wormed now for the 5th time and we are hoping within a few weeks this adventure will be over.

My question is...how long does this whole thing take to run its course. We have three kids (ages 3-8) and I am cleaning, disinfecting constantly to make sure he doesn't spread it to my kids.

most puppies have rounds. do you know what he has been wormed with?

you really should take him to the vet for proper worming.

unfortunately you have dealt with a back yard breeder who may not have wormed him at all. puppies should not leave their mother & siblings untill 12 weeks

Yeah he was too young to be apart from his mother. I suggest after a week let your vet take a close look to your puppy to ensure he's properly de-wormed.
