My name is Greg
I live in North Carolina with my wife Sharon and our dog Drew.
Drew [short for Andrew] is a rescue. He is a Jack Russell/Brittany Spaniel mix and he will be 2 years old on August 1st.
Drew has the markings/head face of a Jack Russell and the longer legs and 'freckles' of a Spaniel. He weighs about 32 lbs.
He's very intelligent, quick [especially in turns], he HATES the ocean [any large body of water] he can catch, fetch, obey commands.
He's a cuddlebug [especially in the morning!]. My wife usually gets up first, and as soon as she is out of the bed, Drew sneaks up to snuggle with me for a few minutes before we get up. He does it this way because he knows my wife doesn't want him in the bed. [clever boy!]
Drew LOVES to 'talk', he is very vocal.
He loves to go for rides in my truck [F150] and hang his head out the window.
He is a lso our resident 'snake detector'. He patrols the yard several times a day and always lets us know if their are any snakes about.
Drew is also the reason we are starting our own pet website.
We are planning a site with an online boutique [to sell pet supplies] we will offer manufacturer and website coupons and have a forum for pet owners to ask health/other questions and share their expertise.

I am new to the forum as well.

I also have a rescue dog. My yellow lab (Biscuit) was 9 months old when my husband and I got her 10 years ago. We live in Minnesota.

Biscuit is one of the most spoiled dogs I know. Like most Lab's she is food obsessed and this has only gotten worse since we started making our own dog food 2 years ago. :-) She now believe's anything cooking is for her.

We will have to check out your website!

I am looking for some advice on reactions to vaccinations. She had her Lyme's shot last week and has some swelling on her hind end where she got the shot. I have been reading online about vaccine's and do not think we will continue with these in the future. Still not sure what if anything I should do for her at the moment. Any advice?

Hi, sorry I haven't much knowledge about Lyme's disease. Didn't the vet give any information about the vaccine, try to give him/her a call if you are too worried.
