Hi, Gail.

Try not to let Bambi get too excited. If this is happening when you greet her, simply walk past her and pay no attention to her (no eye contact, no physical contact, no words). When she appears calm, you can pet her and give her a simple "good girl" or something along those lines. Keep it very low key.

Also, a lot of dogs won't pee while they are sitting down. If your dog is very good with the sit command, give her the command, wait for her to sit, and then greet her. Just make sure it's very low key and not exciting.

Hopefully this will help.

Just in case, have you checked to make sure that she doesn't have a urinary tract infection? Just trying to cover all bases!

Some says, your owner must work on how to ignore you when you get excited.
