This morning as i was getting dressed for work she ran into the bathroom and went into the closet. My husband says maybe we have a ghost that scared her. She is a miniture schnauzer she still eating she dosent bark at anything anymore, and as you know this breed is a barker. I need some advice please help!!!!!

Is it possible that she may have been spooked by a strange noise? Do you have any new appliances or new "sounds" happening in the house? You may want to check with the vet to make sure that there is no underlying medical issue that may cause this behavior. It definitly is something that I haven't heard of before. Good luck!

I would get her to the vet immediately for a complete physical but especially have her eyes & ears checked

do you have a doggie door?

my friend's dog did something similar... apparently the dog was afraid of the blender's sound... she doesnt like staying in the kitchen and hides underneath the sofa whenever they use the blender... weird...

You know our smoke detector needs a new battery in the one room she is afraid to go in. The detector is beeping every couple of minutes. Maybe she is afraid of that. We will change the battery and see what happens. Thanks

that could be the cause.

I was thinking if she had developed "floaters" or was seeing shadows from the begining of cataracts that could be scaring her.

let us know how it goes after the battery change
