Hi all. I am new to the forum. I am a owner of 3 yorkies. I live in Oklahoma and am married with 2 children. I a just wanted to ask the people of the forum a question. I have bred my 3 year old yorkie female with my 2 year old yorkie male. She had 2 puppies in late march. Both females, One of the females turned out to look a lot like mom (black/tan) The dad is more blue/silver and tan. The other apu 028.jpg

apu 002.jpgpuppy is a reddish golden color? I have bred before and I do know it is a full blood yorkie, both parents are registered. I just never heard of one turning out that color?

whether both dogs are registered or not has nothing to do with the quality of the dog, nor does it guarantee it is pure bred. it simply means it is registered.

the blue is common for adults, but it must be the dark steel blue & the intermingled silver would be a disqualification.

you should really learn about your breed before breeding more of them. if you go to AKC's web site or the National Breed Club for Yorkshire Terriers there is a ton of info there

however, my best suggestion to you, is get them all neutered & help prevent cancer
