Make sure he's a responsible breeder. Look for docs and certs, plus dog's history of shots and many more. Take a look also at his parents, get some pics if you have. Sorry I have no ideas when it comes to buying for I have concerns with rescued pets. Hope someone could give good ideas here.

The APRI is notorious for being a registry for back yard breeders. I would run and I would run really fast.
