Default Wheaten Grooming

I have a 7 month old Wheaten. He is very cute- however very shaggy- I love his look however we live by the water which he loves to play in. How old should they be before being groomed? Will all the cute brown hair be gone forever? Is there a good groomer in the Seattle area?

I have a Wheaten too. I think the hair will grow back. I keep my dog's hair short, because otherwise she chews on it and gets hairballs (ick )

Wheatens are so lovely coated pets, just bring him to the groomer when you notice his hair are too long and affecting his movements.
