Default Hi from SEMO

Hi,

Just joined yesterday....hoping to get some answers to a lot of questions. But for now, We have three dogs, 1 cat, 1 lepord gecko and 2 hermit crabs along with 3 children! Our house is quite full!

Our first furbaby is Herbie, he's just over 8 years old. A mix from the humane society!

Then there's Poppy, she's a 3 year old Yorkie. We've had her since she was 8 weeks old.

We've just gotten Athena - she's an English Bulldog and the main reason I've gotten on the internet and found this site.....She's the one I have questions about. We got her about 2 weeks ago...and she's got problems. She's 3 years old. Athena is blind in one eye and has seizures. She hadn't had one since we got her. Of course we believed the lady we bought her from who said she only needed to take the phenabarbitol 1x daily! We hadn't made it to our vet yet, when she started having multiple seizures and we had to make an emergency trip to the vet on the 4th. So....now we're trying to get her meds straightened out and trying to decide if feeding her "dog food" is ok or if we should cook for her.....We've cooked the last two days and ALL three dogs are enjoying that!

Does anyone have any suggestions, tips, hints....on what we should be doing for Athena? We've had dogs all our lives, but never had one with health problems. We've been blessed so far and I guess now is our turn. Just looking for any help you can give us!

Thanks
Cyndi

So sorry for your Athena. I haven't deal much on dogs suffering seizure, I've google some tips and articles that might give information and tips for your problem, sorry for being not so helpful.
