I love dogs! I especially love RETRIEVERS Like George Carlin says, "Life is a series of dogs" ... so true, so true ... I only wish I was one of the people lucky enough to live with multiple dogs. But since I'm short on land, one dog is good Tail wags to you from the Heartland

And a high paw to you too. I've got the same issue-- a very small lot, so only one dog, despite the longing for a "collection." I also have fondness for not only retrievers, but the hunting class in general. (I'd love to have an Irish Setter!)

In my case, it's like the old potato chip ad bet you can't eat just one....
I have 16 dogs to go with my 13 cats and 8 birds. Granted, occasionally I wish I had just one but just about the time I think this the dogs will do something funny and the thought goes away...

I also have one dog but I have a lo of friends that have dogs and it always so much fun to hang with them.
