ben ben
Hello all, I just came upon this website while researching a medical problem for my 7yr old eurasier, Ben Ben. We just received some potentially bad news regarding his prognosis, he has an enlarged spleen. He has to be operated tomorrow to determine if he has cancer of the spleen. I was just wondering if anyone has gone through this and how their dog has faired. He's been a wonderful dog for us. We adopted him at 6 months old from a rescue shelter where he was an abused puppy. He was a project, but came to trust us after he knew that we would not hurt him, although he was very wary of people. It's pretty hard to imagine our house without him and I know that our other dog will miss him if the prognosis is not good. Wish us luck.

Thanks Mydogiscute and jv17 for your get well wishes, but i'm sorry to write that ben ben had a tumor and had to be put to sleep. We will all miss him dearly and our house will not be the same. We will have to give our other pup a big dose of TLC because she misses him very much. We have so many memories of benny and our life was enriched with him. He will be missed very much. We love you ben. bye. Thanks again, Scott

Thanks to wishbone, tickle, and lil mutt for your well wishes. Ben ben will be missed greatly by our family. We still are in shock about all the events that have taken place over the past week. To see benny running around and playing one day and this happen over the next few days was unbelievable. Our other chow "Dusty" has been looking for him since he left for the hospital. When I came home without Benny that day from the hospital she was looking for him and went out to the front yard to see if he was out there. She still looks for him every morning when she goes outside, we just have to give her some extra TLC. Ben ben will be in our thoughts always, Dusty and our family will miss him dearly. We have to say to ourselves that we had a great 8 years together. goodnight Ben ben. we love ya.
