Default Need help with Rescue dog

I just got a rescue dog named China who I absolutely love. She's a chi mix who is very scared of everything which is to be expected from rescue dogs. My problem is she is VERY attached to me and my husband and son cannot get near me without her biting them...hard! She is by me every step of the way, every day and I have to isolate myself for her to feel comfortable. My 4 year old nephew was bringing me a book to read to him and she bit him on his forehead. I don't have any idea what to do, please help!! Thank you

Start with having playful fun and preparing yummy treats when playing with your dog and other people around... let them give her treats so she will feel comfortable with them. You need to socialize your dog with some other people who owns dog too... just always be there to supervise for she might get aggressive. If you see no improvement, better consult a vet or a dog behaviorist.

Make sure that you introduce China to the other members of the family. Tell your folks to talk to her in a friendly tone so that she won't get scared. Don't let them near her if she is mad. Treats would help a lot. In a few days, she will learn to mingle with your folks. Goodluck!

Are you saying that your 4 year old nephew is going to have a scarred forehead for the rest of his life now? If you know she reacts like this to others then why do you let her around anyone else? Why take the chance?
Keep her seperated from people, especially children.
Maybe you should leave for a few days and leave her alone with your husband and see if she can bond to him then and if that works then you both leave and let your son care for her. Something along that principle anyway.
