Sounds like your poor baby has some issues, I hope they can figure it out. Welcome aboard!

Your dog needs to go to the vet regardless of how much he hates it. If he's straining to pee he could have anything from a simple UTI to kidney/bladder stones, and dragging his butt can mean many things as well, to include worms, anal sac problems/infection. Take your dog to the vet.

Oh yeah... I totally agree. My dogs hate the vet too, but they have to go. Take your dog's crate and let them stay in it while you are in the waiting room. Then when you get into the patient room take the blankets out of it and let your dog sit on them on the table. The smell of familiar safe spaces will help keep your dog calm. I had to do this with two of my rescues, and it made a big difference. Then if your dog starts to panic, put the crate on the floor and put your dog in it for a minute or two to calm down. They love their crates.

How's your baby now? What are the vet findings? Maybe the medicines he take have different effects on him... better seek more expert vet if you have to...
