Default Yes I am!!

I am a newbie!!!

Hello!!! I am new here and I have a 8 month old lab/german shepherd mix named Rex....I do not have a recent picture of Rex that is able to be uploaded...so the first one is right after i saved him from the pound and he is around three months or so....and the second picture has a sad and amazing story behind it....About 2 weeks if that, after i got him, my dad had him and my sister's dog which was about a two and an a half year old lab/beagel mix which she had for two years...as i was saying my dad had them out in the yard playing while i was at work and they took off into the woods, "we live in the boondocks", and he tried to go after them....he searched for 5 hours and when i got home i searched for 4 hours until it was too dark to see anything....the next two days i i searched for 12-15 hours a day with other people and nothing.....about the fourth day my dad walked outside and started yelling for me....i came outside and there was Rex, he was weak, bloody from his back, legs, chest, and head, and he had one eye glossed over...and there was no sign of my sisters dog, we took him straight to the vet and he said it looked like someone had stolen him and but him in a barb wire fence, because it was barb wire cuts and he had barb wire cuts in his mouth....By the way my Dad never felt so bad, I never saw him so sad....the sad thing was that he was so bad hurt and that my sister's dog never came back...still 5 months later there is no word of my sisters dog....she was and still is heart broken...What i am amazed about is the fact the he could escape and find his was back to my house, I live right beside my parents, after only a couple of weeks.....His eye is at 85-90% and thats the best it will ever be....Well that is my intro...P.S. a little fact about my dog....I understand how he could escape then, there is no fence he can't escape from when he wants too, he can also undo the metal hooks, multiple kinds from a chain which is connected to him...his nickname is Houdini!!!

Wow, he sounds like an incredible dog! That was a sad story though, who would be twisted enough to steal a dog and torture it with barbed wire! A sick, sick person...Im happy you got him back though, and im sorry about your sisters dog. Welcome to the forum! Glad to have you, let us know if Rex does anymore miracles!
