Hi everyone! Myself and my dog Emery are new to this forum. Emery is an 8 1/2 year old, 106 lbs. Rottweiler mix....at least thats what I was told. However, no one has ever been able to identify exactly what he IS. My best guess is a Rottweiler/Catahoula mix? I'd be interested to know what you guys think.

Emery was recently diagnosed with a Ruptured Crutiate Ligament in his back leg. Since his injury, I have been researching all of the different surgeries that are offered. Emery is having 'Tightrope CCL' surgery on January 8th. We wanted to join this forum for fun and also for a little bit of support while he goes through this surgery.

Welcome Alycia and Emery. Emery looks like he could have some sort of shepherd in him. However, I am not a reliable source when it comes to figuring out mixed breeds. I am curious as to what everyone else thinks too.

Welcome to the forum! Not really sure what Emery is, but who cares, hes cute! That's a bummer about that diagnosis, hope the sugary goes well!

Hi Sorry to bother you, but I was reading the thread on Emery's CCL surgery.

My 3 year old Boxer Oscar has on torn thru ACL and the other knee has a partial tear. I am trying to see how Emery is doing now.

Would you recommend the TightRope?

Any help would be great. I am brand new on this sight

Hi Oscar - sorry for the very late reply to your question. I haven't logged on in quite some time.

Emery is doing very well recovering from his torn ligament. He did have the Tightrope CCL surgery on January 8. It was a long recovery, but he is now off the leesh outside and is walking around great with hardly any limp at all. Please let me know if you are looking for any further information. Did your dog end up having surgery yet?
