Default HI ! I'm new.

I haven't had a dog in a few years. (our Gracie passed away 4 years ago a ripe old age) Asa child/teen I always had small dogs and though we loved Gracie in all her 60 lbs of glory now I am ready for a new puppy i decided to get a small dog again. The puppy i picked out is 1/2 chihuahua and 1/2 yorkie. I considered full breeds but after meeting a number of breeders of different breeds and seeing their litters none of the puppies just felt like my puppy. I've looked for around 8 months. any how i was searching for breeders online and came across some ads online and an image of this little doll won me over so i called and went to visit her and decided she was meant to be with me. She won't be overly large she is 5 weeks now (so it will be a bit longer before i can get her) but based on the charting from her 4 weeks weight ( current owner said 8 week would be more accurate) she should be about 4.5 lbs. I am very excited and have joined a couple of forums to read information on proper training and such for her. My mother was a dog breeder/trainer most of her life but she sadly passed away 11 years ago and its been so long since i had a little puppy i don't trust my memory to serve me well enough! We've named her Khizma. I look forward to learning from other owners about how to best train my new little love.
