Hi all,

Just found this forum and it looks great. We have a little Staffy x Boston terrier and she is gorgeous. She has a really kind gentle manner and wouldn't hurt a flea. We bought her from the animal shelter 6 months ago and it seems like we've had her forever. Wouldn't want to be without her now, she's really settled in and is part of the family.

Anyway, just wanted to day hi.

Hi, welcome aboard! Aren't shelter rescues just the best kinds of dogs to have? I have an English Springer Spaniel mix rescue, and she too is just beautiful and sweet as can be. I'm going to be getting another sweet rescue pretty soon!

Thanks for the warm welcoming. Yeah shelters are a great place to get a dog. It's such good value, money wise too, as she cost $132 AU and she had just been spayed, wormed, micro-chipped plus six months free registration...brilliant!!

She's an English Staffy cross so she's not large like the American Staffy's. Actually, she's even a bit smaller than the English staff.

Unfortunately she became ill overnight and is currently at the vet's on a drip. We'll know in an hour if she needs to go to the animal hospital. Am praying she'll be ok.

I'd post a pic but not figured out how yet.

Meant to comment on the above from GoldenJedi. I totally agree Staffy's are so unfairly judged at times. In my experience, and Bonnie is my 4th Staff (first cross, the rest were pure) if a Staffy is mean to people it is quite often due to his upbringing. I think it's mostly people who are to blame when a Staff turns out mean. If they think you want them to be that way they will, they are so keen to please their masters. That's my opinion anyway.
