Hi I'm new to this site and the dog blog community in general. My title is bittersweet because I found out today that my newly adopted beagle puppy has parvo and is undergoing treatment. I already have a 2 year old Doxen named Charlie and got Sophie (my beagle) as a companion for him. I'm praying because we caught the sickness early while she's still in relative good health that she will recover fully with the intense treatment. The vet has given us a 90-95 percent chance of survival, but now I'm terrified that it will spread to my other dog even though he's older and vaccinated. Well that's all for now.

Canine parvo virus is a very serious health treat to your pet's health. Its good that you brought your pet to the vet.

So sorry your beagle have some virus in her, hope she will get well so soon. Where did you get her, don't you have any contact on them?

Is it possible to separate the other two so that it won't spread in them? just to make sure i really hope he gets well very soon.
