Default Hello we are new

Hi i have just joined and I live in Australia with my maltese x bichon called Puff. We have survived a heat wave and it was hard to keep cool. I bought Puff a little swimming pool and he really enjoyed it.

Hi, welcome, and glad to have you. Too bad you couldn't come to the states during your heat wave-- it's nice and cool here, right now, ha! It's so weird to think of people having summer/heat wave right now, and splashing in a wading pool. My dog's outside water dish is frozen every morning! (she has an inside water dish too, but the outside one is her favorite, for some reason)

Hi welcome to the forums! When we had our vacation in the Pacific we also experienced the heat wave. So I also thought of the same thing.. to buy him a little swimming pool. Since then he always loved to play in the water even if the weather is quite cold.

hey we know what ur going through. I'm not far from Warrnambool in south west vic. Its been so hot that possums have been falling out of trees and bush fires are everywhere. Very Scary!!!! Even though we have water restrictions, I have found that watering well under a dense bush in the backyard gives all animals a nice cool spot to rest and relax and most importantly stay cool. Its been hard on the dogs cos they need to stay quiet to stay cool but they still need to expand a little energy. Cant wait for Autumn
