Hello everyone. My name is Lisa. I don't currently have a dog. I was the proud owner of a doberman about a year or so ago. My ex took him when we split up. I will be moving to a new home soon and would really love to find a new dog.

Welcome---this is a great forum--you will learn a lot here. I am hoping before you get a new dog--you will 'bone up' on what knowledge is important to know--esp for 1 thing before you get the D_ _n shots! Sorry, I hope I'm not being rude or whatever--It's just that I love dogs so much and it took me about 8 or so years to finally get it right---I only wish I knew what I know now back then--when my dogs were puppies. I feel bad that I can't undo the 'damage' so to speak---All I can do is do the best I can right now. And I want everybody to start out 'right' w/the new puppy and give them a long healthy life! God!--There really is a lot to learn! Did you know that a dog should live about 10 or more years longer than they do if they were only fed right-less vaccinations-and not given some of the drugs that they are--some of these drugs are very bad! I wish you would click on some of the web sites I have posted in this forum -- in the Health and Nutrition section and esp the posts w/ the titles--Because you love your dog---I guarantee you will learn a lot frm these sites! And I will 'shut-up' now and I hope you realize this is nothing personal--I'm just trying to spread the word the best I can.

Hi! welcome to the forum! I'm sorry to hear that your ex took your doberman but it's time to move on. Go get another dog and enjoy!

Ugh, that is terrible! You should definately get another dog I don't know what I would do without dogs in my life, they are so great. Even when they are naughty they are still wonderful to be around.
