Hello
I'm new here of course. I have an Old English Bull dog named Duke. He was rescued from an abusive home. I also have 2 small Chihuahua's. Sadie and Gizmo. Sadie was pregnant up until today. She had some trouble pushing, I brought her in and my poor baby had to have a C-section. She only had one puppy. They said it got to big because it was the only one getting the food from mom. Thing is, I've been struggling today with the poor little thing. Sadie will not accept it. I've tried and tried, she has tried to bite it 3 times. I'm trying to feed this poor little girl, but she's not taking to well. My fiance pet Sadie's head and kind of held it so she wouldn't bite and I got the baby to attach twice. Sadie still doesn't want any thing to do with her. I feel so bad. I got the baby to drink puppy formula some, I also got it to go potty a few times. I just don't know if she is eating enough. Can any one help me with that?
By the way, Sadie getting pregnant was by mistake. Gizmo is younger, both his testi's have not fully dropped. They were stuck one other time, awhile ago, nothing happend. We had an appointment to bring him to get fixed. They got stuck and wouldn't you know, she had only one puppy. She is a standard Chihuahua, Giz is a toy. However, the vet even said the puppy could have also took after the standard gene. I'm so scared of losing this poor puppy. The vet did not tell me how much she should be eating each time, just to feed her every 3 - 4 hours if Sadie hasn't accepted her yet.
Can some one please give me idea and maybe some ideas of how to get my mom dog to accept her baby???

Hello and welcome!! that's quite a predicament you have!! I wish the best for the new puppy! My spouse's family actually had a 'mistake litter' as well and the mother died right after birthing them :[ (sad, I know)..however, I would def. recommend you keep in close contact with the vet in case anything goes wrong!
I'm not sure if you know, but after they finish eating, it's mandatory that they go to the bathroom. Wiping their bottoms with a warm cloth feels the same as their mother would be licking their bottom and they will go to the bathroom INSTANTLY, so be prepared for that!
It looks to me like you're going to have to hand raise this baby if the mother won't accept her.
Here are some general rules for bottle feeding puppies:
Always boil your water before using - allow time to cool.
Burp your pups after feeding.
A pup may have little bubbles by his mouth but there should not be milk running out of his mouth.
When the bottle is held upside down the milk should drip out - NOT FLOW OUT in a stream - pups that get milk in their lungs will get pneumonia and more than likely die.
Calorie intake needs to be adjusted according to growth of puppies. A general rule of thumb (unless someone has a better idea) is 1 CC per OZ. of body weight every 3 hours.
You can also search on Google on how to hand raise puppies!
Good luck and please keep us updated!!!
