Hi all,
I just joined. I just adopted a new puppy from an animal shelter. They tell me his mom was a hound but don't know what his dad is. He is displaying alot of characteristics of a lab...however he has a lot of looks of a shepherd. Can anyone help me out with what my new puppy may be? Many thanks,

I see hound and shepherd, not to sure about the specific breeds though, beagle maybe.

it looks like beagle. but it is definitely a cute dog.

wow he looks so adorable.. i think he's a mixture of a beagle and an accent of hound breed.. But you're really lucky to have such a cute dog.

Hi friend first of all I want to wish u for joining us!Welcome to our family and to your new pet.u just teach him how u want to make him just forget about his past I know it will be very hard teach but when u will make him perfect it will be very good to u

100% ADORABLE is what he is! He's got some ears to grow into for sure!

I'd guess beagle with perhaps some shepherd...so hard to say though...definitely beagle......

Did I mention that he's ADORABLE?!!!!! :mrgreen:

Thank you all for the warm welcome and the kind words about Clyde. He is for sure a challenge. He is getting larger by the minute...maybe the shepherd in him. He has also found his voice box...for sure the hound as he likes to howl...and is it ever loud. His training is going well and fast...I'm grateful to report...however I have a little Shitzu (she is 9) who wants no part of him...but he is obsesesed with her. Any ideas on how to stop him from bothering her constantly? Any help would be most appreciated.
