 Hello, I'm Mary & my dog's name is Shadow...
And in the last 48 hours, he has just survived GDV at the tender age of 14.
I am so glad to have found this forum. I live in Alaska and I have two older dogs, both MacKenzie River Husky crosses. They are father and son. The son is 12 years old. They are the last surviving members of our dog family.
It has been a very tense and stressful couple of days, so being able to come here and find kindred spirits is very comforting. I also have three cats and three house bunnies (the bunnies have their own forum too), and my husband and two teenage children and I have been here in the Fairbanks area since 1995.
I know this is an intro thread, so I'll find the appropriate area to post about my Shadow's recent battle with GDV. But thank you for being here to help, to listen and to share.
