HI! Welcome to our great site! I am retired too (2 yrs. ago). You have my curiosity up--sounds like your puppy almost didn't make it--was she sick? I have a cocker spaniel, 10 yrs. old--named Max(but mostly called Paxy or Paxer-lol, don't you just love these crazy nicknames!) and I have a cocker/golden retriever mix, 11 yrs. old--named Corky. His nicknames are Corker-Porker (but he's not fat) and Corky-Porky and they both have a lot of other nicknames(Honeybunners, lol, etc.) I wanted to wait until I retired before getting a dog--but long story--Have had them for almost 10 and 11 yrs now-----Even though they can be little devils at times--I wouldn't trade them for anything! And it sounds like even though you haven't had Fritzie that long --you probably feel the same way already! See you around.
