Smile Howdy!

I'm obviously Champ's "mommy"

I adopted Champ on December 26 at the age of 8 weeks, or at least that's what his papers said. I had been out of sorts since losing Scooter, a 5 yr old yellow lab, who passed suddenly and unexpectedly the weekend of Thanksgiving. The loss was especially difficult since he was a gift from my father who passed away last April... it was like losing my father again if you can understand. Champ has become my baby through and through. I had started getting paranoid or anxious or something during December without a dog, and he has totally helped me feel better. He was at the SPCA with his littermates who refused to let him have any attention. The other three pups were climbing all over him and pushing him back so I asked the lady to let me see him in the room for getting acquainted. When I picked him up, he put his sweet lil head on my shoulder and that was it... he was mine (or I was his) and he WOULD be going home with me.

Hi, again! I just posted a reply to your breed question. I love this story about how come you adopted your Champ. I also picked out my Cocker (Max) because he was the runt of the litter and wasn't getting much nourishment as the other pups were 'overpowering' him. Lol, what a change--that was just about ten years ago---now he needs to be on a diet! Anyway welcome to the forum--Hope you like it here! Keep us posted about Champ!
Do you have any more pics--like a full side view (for more guessing---there are quite a few good guessers here--harder though of course when puppy is young--they change so much sometimes when they get older. See you around.

Dogs sure do have a healing power. They pick up on so much. My dog knows if im upset and will come and "cuddle" me. She puts her paws up on my sholders. So i try not getting upset as she is a 4 stone Husky. Sorry to here of your loss x
