Hi! Welcome to the forum. I am not the best guesser and my 1st impression was the 2 you named--you must have been thinking about the same thing when you first saw it? It is esp. hard with some breeds when they are young puppies and will be changing as they get older. I have a book that tells about each breed and shows good colored pics--but does not show them as pups. From what I looked at the only thing I can come up with
(besides the 2 you had mentioned---and my best guess would have been the
Siberian Husky) is Australian Shepard (This is not the Australian cattle dog!)
Actually this breed was developed entirely in the U.S. to work as a herding dog on ranches. This dog is extremely intelligent, easily trained, obedient and very responsive, these dogs seem to know exactly what is required of them. Sounds like a good breed to own! But it also is a very energetic working dog and needs plenty of vigorous exercise to stay in shape, or better yet some real work to do. (like herding--not hard pulling jobs) Male: weight=
40 to 70 # and 19 to 23 inches-shoulder height. I also thought of German Shepard----wondering even if there could be some wolf there. Anyway it is a very cute puppy--Do you have any more pics--maybe standing, side view---How does he 'carry' his tail? If found at a bus station--maybe the owner was a 'traveler' and could be 1 of the dogs you mentioned as could of come from almost anywhere. Hope you get some good answers--I'd like to know too what it is!
