My question is my yorkie gave birth only she lost lthree pups so I only have one that lived I told the owner of the male that I would lgive lher a female when my dog gave birth do I have to give her my only pup, she says that the male got hit by a car the day my female f=gave bieth I don't trust it need advise help MarjD

I don't know what the proper answer would be since I don't have any experience in breeding dogs but my first thought is to offer the person a fee instead of the pup.

Talk to the owner of the other dog, explain the situation and chances are you can come to some arrangement...I would assume that you would have given the make dog owner a female only IF there were sufficient pups...
