Default I'm new here and have a question

Hi, folks. I'm new here and have a situation that I need advise on.

I have a 6 yr old female dog that's part blue healer and part doberman. I would like to introduce a new 6 wk old puppy into the family, a lab male. What is the best way to do it or should I do it at all?

A six week old puppy is not even ready to be away from it mother. Far too young at this point to comprehend and adult dog. I would hold off til the pup was at least 10 to 12 weeks of age and then take this through a crate so that if there is an issue, the adult dog cannot get to the puppy. Sometimes older dogs see the new young ones as a threat to their domain and will defend against it at all costs. Until the meet you will not know for sure.
