Just wanted to stop in & introduce myself. My name is Joely & my furbaby is Charlie Brown. He's a Lemon Blond Beagle & Chihuahua mix. We rescued him from the SPCA here in Lakewood, CA. But I have to say, I think he rescued me more than I rescued him....he was my Christmas present from my Son & Husband the year after my Mom passed away from an 8 yr battle with breast cancer. Charlie has been the light of my life ever since. I have 3 rescue kitties but Charlie is the top dog in our house (pardon the pun). And he may be my furbaby but he brings extreme joy & has a very close bond with my Son & Husband. He mopes around after my son leaves the house.
I named him Charlie Brown because when I went back to pick him up from the SPCA, I walked into the exam room & he saw me & literally did this funny, flip thing - just like the Peanuts character does with the football.
We go to the dog park often. It's one of his favorite places besides going over to wear himself out at my MIL's home where he plays like a madman with his 3 cousins - Bob, Midge & Cassie (Bob is a Yorkie, Midge is a Shitzu & Cassie is their baby girl). Charlie loves to run & be chased around the house.
Charlie is really well mannered & trains like a charm. I am hoping to get him into agility training & saw that this forum has a section for just that. I am going to go check it out right now.
