Greetings from Toronto
Hey all,
I'm Tyler, nice to meet you. I just wanted to say hello. I don't have a dog of my own right now because I've just moved out on my own, but I've grown up with them all my life. Can you guess what kind?
Dobermans. Gotta love 'em. They're so sweet when they're raised properly. Anyway, looking forward to having some fun here.

Yay, another Dobe lover!!
I posted some pictures of Baxter over in another thread. If you've read Dogs Annual, you can actually see him in the 2007 edition, or over at our breeder's site.
Time flies, though, I thought he was 3, not 4. I moved out in August, lost track of time. Can't wait to see him this Friday! I'll take a picture with him, maybe.
Have you had Dobes, or do you just love them?

Hi there! I'm new here, too .
I've never had a Dobie, but have known several who owned friends of mine, and they were real sweeties. I also think they're the most beautiful of the large breeds, with their graceful lines and clear coloring. There's nothing quite like watching a Dobie loping across a field chasing a ball or whatever. It's like the feeling I get when watching a sleek Morgan horse showing off in a field.

Warm welcome Tyler, I don't have Doberman myself but I've met few sweet Dobies. They are lovely and bouncy.

Hi from Montreal
Hi Tyler! I'm new here too and when I saw that we're practically neighbours, I thought I'd start my first entry here! My dog Kramer will be 10 next month, but as I am new to this, I thought I'd show him as a puppy.

HI! Welcome to the forum. You said your dog is 10 yrs. old now? My 2 dogs--cocker/golden retriever mix will be 11 on June 13 (Corky) and a pure cocker turned 10 on April 1st (Max). I am curious as to what breed(s) your Kramer is----Not sure if you are asking for guesses here or not or if you already know. I was wondering if he is part cocker---Do you know? His ears mainly make me think that---I'm not the best at guessing but as I have cocker and cocker/mix----He looks a little 'familiar' to me!! Lol, so tell me I'm way off if I am! Cute as a puppy---Got any current pics. you can show?

Thanks for the welcome! Kramer is all golden retriever - perhaps as a puppy he reminds you of your cocker/golden mix?! And do I have pictures...let's just say that I'm really glad digital cameras came into my life when Kramer was young - otherwise I'd be broke from paying for film & developing!!
I'll try attaching a few more recent ones here, and thanks for the interest - I can tell I'm gonna love this place!
FYI - The 3rd picture includes his buddy Nomad, an Australian Shepard.

You are right! I almost came back and erased my reply to you because I had 2nd thoughts on the cocker "thing'! He does look more like the golden retriever part of my Corky.---which is why he did look familiar to me. It took me a long time to decide that Corky was part golden retriever. I knew he was cocker for sure but the person I got him from as an 8 wk. pup didn't know the father. Anyway want to say that your Kramer looks very content and happy--esp. like the pic of him holding his leash. Golden Retrievers are very popular dogs--even in ads, etc. I have several in my immediate neighborhood. My Corky doesn't have the height of either the cocker or the golden---in between and he has a longer length than the cocker and seems to have the rest of his 'looks' fairly evenly distributed between the 2 breeds.
Lol, I'm sure glad he doesn't have Max's (my pure cocker) hair--sometimes like sheep's wool and very thick--hard to take care of. Corky's hair much easier--long but hardly ever any mats. My Corky is going to be 11 on June 13 so just a little older than your Kramer. See you around.
