Default I need some advice

I have a 2 year old Siberian Husky sheperd mix. She is an amazing dog. One huge problem though she plays rough with other dogs. She never hurts them or bites down but she is very loud and and puts her mouth on other dogs heads. She loves to play with the dogs at the dog park but sometimes i get to scared to take her. Any advice on how to calm her down would be appreciated.

My dog is the same, and it can be embarrassing. I have been told twice to get her on a leash, makes me sad. She isn't a bad dog at all, but noisy.:???:

LOL my husky did the same thing, I had to keep her on a leash outside of the yard tho, she loved to run.

Observe your dog when she starts to play rough, get her back so that she will know that rough play is not allowed but nice play is okay.

Hi! That's a good question. I think most dogs become overly excited in the dog park. One of the effective ways for her to stay calm when playing with the dogs, is to exercise her before entering the park. When dogs enter a park, they get too excited that often cause problems to arise. It will be helpful if you tire him out first before going to the park to calm her down. Goodluck!

The moment your dog starts to play rough tell it "No" and bring it back to your side. Repeat this time after time and your dog will soon learn that playing rough means the game comes to an end.

I think let energy out before going in to dog park and bring dog back to you when dog starts playing rough will be good advice. You may need to do this consistent but it would work.

Hi there.
I know just what you mean, I have a 1 year old female Husky called Roxy...what a handfull she has been. Alot of work needs to go into owning a Husky. If Roxy got over playfull when she was younger with other dogs i would pull her back and say "no", other times i would tap her on the side of her ribs when she got to much, this would normally do the trick ( it would just shock her a little)The problem with "most" Huskys is that they are a very stubborn bread and their natural instinct kicks in. You just have to keep up the hard work...it will be hard work but trust me it will pay off in the end. Good luck x
