well, apparently the longgg thread that i created a little over an hour ago didnt actually post... that sux, i wrote ALOT haha, well more so just a little history on my current dog. i'll post it some other time...

anyways, yup, im new here. always been a huge dog lover; well bascially a huge animal lover in general, but dogs definitely lay somewhere in my top 10 list.

Here's some pics of Jazz, my shetland sheepdog. gorgeous little, mm mm, excuse me, big man. hahah. He's definitely the biggest sheltie ive ever seen!
Coming in at a 17 1/2 inches and a whole 46 lbs! haha. he actually just recently had a doctors appointment, and the vet told us that he's borderline obese! so we are putting him on a diet.
he doesnt even look that 'fat' to me, though i guess it's hard to tell under that thick double coat!

and last but not least...
me and jazz, he just LOVES posing for pictures! it's like he knows hes adorable and wants to flaunt it :P haha

It look's like you brush Jazz alot... He's very handsome... Welcome to the both of you...

haha, actually, you'd be surprised to find out that we dont brush him that often at all! maybe every couple of weeks. he has an amazing coat for a sheltie, it never gets nappy or tangled or anything

the only reasons we brush him really is because he lovessss it, to get rid of extra uneeded hairs, and of course to prevent hair clumping from happening (even though it never has), but we dont want to leave it go for too long and take the chance of it starting to knot.

i have so many ppl on the streets who see me with jazz come up and ask me where i get him groomed at hahah

Hi & welcome to this fun forum! Jazz is gorgeous & you're lucky you don't have to brush him all the time, and that he loves it! My golden used to just 'put up with' the brushing, but he loves it now. Hope you enjoy this site - I've found everyone friendly & helpful if you have any questions.
