My name is Christian (Xian for short) and I just joined up. I adopted a beautiful little girl who is part shar pei and part lab (as best as we and the shelter can tell). I named her Zoey and she's so sweet.

Thing is, Zoey was either severely neglected, under-socialized, or both as a puppy so she's generally always afraid; tail between her legs and shying away from human contact. She's still pretty amazing though and I couldn't not adopt her.

Zoey is a pretty girl, isn't she?



So that's her and I just wanted to say hi and introduce "us".

Wonderful girl, love her name. Welcome to you and your furbaby to the board. You should work on building her confidence and socialization. Always bring her to a dog park and ask pet owners to give her treats, pet her and let her play with other dogs. Soon surely she will be out of her shell.
