Hello everybody...

We just came across this web site and thought that it would help our mum.
Our names are Max and CJ. Max is a Sheltie and CJ is a Border Collie mix.
Mum's name is Shelly.

CJ is new to our house and I have only been here a year. We are all trying to learn to live together. CJ and I get along great but CJ loves to jump up on Mum and he is very scared of people, especially men. He was rescued from a shelter.
Going for walks is very scary for him even though I go with him.
Mum said that she has read lots of great tips on this web site and she is looking forward to putting them to good use.

We are going outside to play ball now...

Welcome to the message board, boys (and mum). You sound like great pups. My Zoey has a lot of fear issues too but I hope that you learn to overcome them when you're ready. The world is a wonderful place and no matter what has happened before you found your forever home, I'm willing to bet your mum will keep you safe.

Hiya Max and CJ and to your mum . Max you have a good task over CJ on building his confidence, you can be a role model for him when you go to the park, ask mom on giving treats to CJ and also petting him, tell CJ soon he will more socialized and will become so friendly as yours. You should convince mom too to enroll both of you to any obedience or agility training school, that will boosts your confidence and obedience too, as well as everything there was so much fun.
