Greetings from Canada!
Hi everyone. I've been looking for a dog forum to join for a while so, it was really nice to come across this one. I have a young shorty jack russell, A.K.A. known as "problem child" and an amazing 12 year old border collie X. I'm looking forward to meeting you all and reading all of the posts!

Welcome!!
HI! Glad you picked this forum---my 2nd home! I have heard that terriers are very stubborn and have a mind of their own--like to do things their way, lol--Are you saying that it is true? I see you posted about the raw feeding thread. I just wanted to say--I think part (or all--in some cases)--the reason some vets prob. don't want you to even feed home-cooked is that they want you to buy the "crap' they are selling themselves! Sorry, just had to say that---1st thing that went through my mind when I read what you said! I may go back to home-cooked myself eventually but so far the raw is the best for me to feed. I do feed some cooked now too--esp. when I find some older meat that I forgot about in the freezer that I now don't want to eat myself----Just seems better to cook it. And I feed oatmeal every other morning or so--I add other things to it like egg, or cottage cheese, maybe some pcs meat have on hand like a little cooked chicken from last night's supper; sometimes add some canned pumpkin (good to regulate the bowels, whether you are dealing with diarrhea or constipation--helps either way)! And I mean the pure pumpkin--not the pumpkin pie filling stuff---too much sugar in it for one thing!
You will find (good example here) that I usually talk too much and post too long a posts as a rule---no wonder this is my 2nd home--I'm here most of the time! And I'm getting off the reason for this post---to welcome you and hope you like this forum. Like an idiot (as if I'm not in this one too much) I am in about 3-5 dog forums now--really only that active in about 2 of them right now and this one is my favorite by far! So hope you like it!
Almost forgot to ask---any pics to share of your pups? I have 2 dogs and you can see their album on my profile page if you like.

I have no doubt that you are correct about some vets wanting to sell you their crappy dog food. Mine love their home cooked, get loads of variety and are thriving on it.
As for pictures, I have loads but, I am the original "computer idiot" so, it will no doubt take me a while to figure how to upload them!
Thank you for the welcome!!!

Hi again! You are not the only original computer idiot--me too. Pretty much self-taught. I also had probs. figuring how to upload. It took me quite a while to figure out how to do (or even become aware of the different features
in here)! I finally found out what the 'faq' was for. See it at top of most of these pages in here. It is a word in the narrow blue strip going across the top of the page. If you will click on it---go to Board Faq and find General Forum Usage and click on it---Find User Profile Features and then find Albums and Pictures---should help you out. I even copied on my printer most of all the info under this Faq info that I didn't know how to do, etc! You prob. will find all the info in this FAQ (across blue strip/top of page) pretty informative too. Hey! I'm not only not that great on the computer knowledge but I'm a one-fingered typer to boot. And as you may of noticed--long-winded and too detailed so takes me forever to get it the way I want it, Lol, patience is not one of my better virtues either!

The next time you post here, scroll down below the area where it says
"submit reply" to the next section. Click on the box where it says manage attachments. You will come to an area on your computer which will probably be noting something like documents or things like that. Click them til you find the photo section. Once there, pick a photo (if you have one with both of the dogs together, I can try to create an avatar of them). Once you have clicked the pic you want, then save, the info then will appear on this site in the lower box and you can scroll down to the bottom of the second box and click submit reply. You link will appear on the post. Good luck.
