I adore dogs and if money were an issue, I would have three right now!! But our expensive Emma holds us back from that because she has allergies and her allergy meds are a smidge on the pricey side (Atopica). Just wanted to say and I look forwarding to talk to other members!!

Hi and welcome! I am a Boston Terrier owner too, and I love my little guy. I'm afraid he's developing allergies too...

No luck until Finally they gave her an antibiotic to get rid of the infection in her skin from itching so much and put her on atopic (allergy meds) and she has been doing good. Atopic is about 80 bucks a month for her in Mn-so hopefully your pups allergies aren't that serious. I spend more on the dogs medical bills than myself ha.

I'm not really sure what's going on with Luca. At first I was sure he had allergies. He had these tiny sores just inside his ears he would scratch. I put cortasone cream on them and he stopped itching and they went away. Then he started losing the hair behind his ears and around his eyes a little bit, so I thought he was still itching and rubbing it off, so I started Benadryl. Now he is losing the hair on his face in tiny spots on his face. I researched it on the internet and it sounds similar to demodectic mange. I am going to take him to the vet next weekend and see what I'm looking at. Hopefully not $80 a month!!! I mean, if my pup needs, he gets it but I'm hoping for the best.

Hi Karri! Boston Terriers are so cute with their big bug eyes! I can sympathize with the money situation, I would have many more dogs if I could afford them! Right now I have two - a red-nose pitbull named Max and a pitbull/lab mix named JoJo - they are my babies. Someday soon I hope to add a Pug into the mix - a small, medium and large :-)
