Hey Y'all From Alabama
Obviously, I'm new to this forum. Really glad to be here.:-D
I desperately need help identifying one of my babies. I have 3 dogs in my pack, one older female misbreed terrior (Sasha), one 4 year old minpin (Buddy) and one 2 year old rescued and what haven't got a clue what he is male (Wiggy...cause he wigs out when he gets excited).
Is there a place I can post a pic of my unknown so maybe you wonderful folks can help me figure him out?
You can call me Red, everyone else does.

Hi and welcome!
I would put good money on the first one being some kind of a shepherd X. I'm stumped over the other one. The picture is just too vague.

That pic of Wiggy is hilarious! Is he part human? The expression & folded front paws...very cute!! No idea what breed, though...anyone else?

Welcome!!
I agree that the 'mystery' dog really is different looking---the paws do look almost human in a 'witchy' sort of way!! To me the head kind of reminds me of what a minature horse would look like. And after all those comments, I have no idea on any kind of guess! Will be interesting if smeone can come up with a good guess! How much does he weigh? Have any side pics?

Will get more pics
I'm going to have the hubby get more pics of Wiggy this weekend. I appreciate all the feedback. My family has all decided that he looks a werewolf in midtransition, but seeing as how werewolves don't stay in midtransition I'm pretty sure he isn't a werewolf.
My vet and the entire family are just stumped as to what he is. We ended up shaving all of his hair off EXCEPT the mane around his neck and chest so it cleaned him up a little. He now looks like he is supposed to be THAT way, but I don't know what he is SUPPOSED to look like for real. The ringworms did so much damage to him that most of the hair on his body will never grow back.
I will say my husband is leaning toward believing there is mini poodle in him because of all the jumping he does and man can he run...I mean HOLY COW!! can he run. OK, nuff said. Will post some pics on Monday.
Thanks for the warm welcome all. :-D
Hugs,
Red

Bothering me!!
I have never seen a minpin except in pics. And you have one too----have you ever had the idea that this mystery dog might be part minpin!!? I just have this notion in the back of my mind and it won't go away! I never said anything in my 1st post to you cause I figured I wasn't the best person to have this idea--hoping Yogi was going to post that idea as he has minpins too--He still might when he sees your post--If he does --guess he will say No, I am all wrong or maybe he will surprise me and think there may be some minpin there too!

Wiggy is one interesting dog, he's one of a kind maybe he got some werewolf bloodline. How does he behave? What is his favorite food?

Could he be a Peruvian Hairless??
It has been suggested to me that Wiggy is part Peruvian Hairless and part poodle. When I looked up pics of the Peruvian it looks just like Wiggy except no hair. I can understand the poodle part simply because of the jumping and the unbelievable coat that he can grow. (parts the ringworms didn't destroy).
Also Wiggy is super, scary smart. Has already learned the spoken words for 'outside, box (create), treat, walk, stay, sit, and OKAY (our release word)'. He has also learned the hand signals for 'stay, OKAY, up, and sit', all without us really trying. I believe he is learning from the other dogs. I thought he was going to bond to my hubby and I really wanted that to happen but this past weekend he started spending more and more time with me and now...well...he is grooming me so I think he has fixed on me, just like the other two. It makes my husband very sad that all the dogs bond to me and none to him.
Favorite food would be anything he can steal off my plate. The rescue owners didn't teach this dog ANY manners so we are having to fight bad habits.
He is a very loving animal, desperately wants to please and in MY pack he is an omega dog if I've ever seen one. He can't coax my little old lady, Sasha, to play but he has managed to get Buddy to play, and just this morning I saw Wiggy grooming Buddy's neck and ears. It was too cute and since one of the reasons I wanted another dog was to have a buddy for Buddy it is working out great!!
We ran out of time to take pics this weekend. I will try to get some tonight or tomorrow and load them so you can see him with some other angles.
I want to thank everyone for joining in the conversation. Oh and to the post about Wiggy having minpin in him, I don't see that at all. He looks nor acts anything like my minpin, but he definitely reminds me of Poodle and, well, for the Peruvian Hairless, they are so rare I have never seen one so I am taking my vets word for it.
Ahooooooah to all the pack,
Red
