Welcome! I don't mean to pry. It's just that I can't imagine being able to care for four dogs! Both of mine are insured and it has been a Godsend. Just covering their insurance costs me almost $100 per month. That doesn't take into account food, toys, treats, etc. Without insurance, I'd be thousands of dollars in the hole, especially now that my "senior" dog Bailey is beginning to have health issues. Thankfully, the baby of the family (Lara) - shorty jack russell, is as healthy as a horse.
I'd be very interested to know how those people in the forum who don't have pet insurance deal with the high cost of quality veterinary care. I get 80% back for everything with the exception of what is considered regular maintenance - annual check-up, vaccines, etc.
